WHATS YOUR WHY - PART TWO

In my last post I talked about my previous "why" - why I got sick of my own shit and insecurities and invested in my own transformation. Today I want to talk about my CURRENT why - why I continue to make health a priority even though I've achieved the way I always thought I wanted to look.

My current “WHY” - I don’t workout because I hate the way I look anymore but instead because:

⭐️ I love the way being fit, strong, and healthy makes me FEEL. Even on when I feel super lazy I’ll always feel better after I workout or eat a healthy meal. Maybe not immediately but definitely in a week.. or a month.. because all those little days when you don’t want to go to the gym but go anyway, THEY ADD UP and will make a big difference a month from now in how you look and feel.

⭐️ I love that I look in the mirror and literally ONLY see good things about my body and feel amazing EVEN WHEN I'm bloated or am on my period or after I overeat or gain weight or accidentally eat a ton of Christmas cookies and feel heavier

⭐️ I love that I finally feel so confident that I could do a bikini bodybuilding competition this year where I bared my nearly-naked bum to hundreds of people without even flinching. (lol the shame I brought to my Indian parents though, please don’t bring it up to them if you’re reading this, thx 😂)

⭐️ I love that I actually KNOW how to eat for whatever physique I want without feeling like I need to do crazy things. I struggled with really bad eating disorders growing up, in high school+college. Restricting my diet so much that I lost my period, overexercising an extreme amount, binging, purging… all that fun stuff. Let me tell you that shit is not fun. BUT it’s extremely liberating now to have a knowledge of the best nutrition for MY body actually KNOW how to eat for whatever my aesthetic goals are now without extreme measures AND while enjoying yummy treats here and there without guilt.

⭐️ I love that I have this full knowledge of how to transform my physique in ANY way possible with weights and my training. Being in control of your own body and actually knowing HOW to shape it how you want is one of THE MOST motivating and empowering things ever.
.
So - that's my current why, and what drags me to the gym on days I’d rather be home eating samosas.
